Background
The organisation was created
to promote and support recycling and reprocessing. They
wanted to bid for a regional government fund of £3m.
The funding would enable them to undertake a contract
providing advice and support to small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs). This support would include reviewing
their energy efficiency together with opportunities
to recycle or use recycled materials.
Results
Paper Contracts was retained
to advise the bidding team on issues of special relevance
to SMEs. We ensured the bid made it clear the proposed
services would be relevant and would meet customers'
needs. We also made sure communications and marketing
were appropriately targeted.
Paper Contracts acted as an intermediary
between the lead organisation in the bid, whose experience
related primarily to larger businesses, and the junior
partner who represented the interests of community recycling
organisations.
The consortium successfully secured
the £3m funding. It is now delivering advice and
services to SMEs involved in recycling and reprocessing.
